Cher Lloyd: 'Popstars don't deserve to be treated like s***'

Cher Lloyd has argued that singers don't deserve to be abused just because of their celebrity status. The 'Want U Back' singer, who has campaigned for the government to do more to prevent cyber bullying , said that there was no reason why musicians should be punished for living their dreams. "We're known as public property, just because we're singers and this is what we've dreamed of doing forever," Now quotes her as saying. "But it doesn't mean you can knock us to the ground and treat us like s**t. "We're no different to you or other people, except we're doing what we love. And believe me, it's hard work." Lloyd has spoken out against cyber bullies numerous times in the past and recently took part in a Panorama special on the issue . The 18-year-old even claimed that it is "a miracle" she is still alive after the abuse she suffered. > Cher Lloyd on Cheryl Cole row: 'I really did put my foot in it

'I was a bitch' - Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd was a 'real bitch' during 'The X Factor'. The 'Swagger Jagger' hitmaker admits she was frustrated when she first came to fame on the UK reality show in 2010 because she felt like people were 'taking' her life away from her. She said: 'I was overwhelmed by the amount of interest in me. So I was a bitch, a real bitch. Knowing what I know now, I would've dealt with situations a lot more calmer. 'I was just so angry and frustrated that people had taken my life off or me, even though I had gone on the show.' The 18-year-old star - who was mentored by Cheryl Cole on the series - says her life has been 'stressful' since the show ended and she launched her pop career and she has had to alter her own personality to deal with the new pressures in her life. She told heat magazine: 'What did I go through? Absolute stress and mayhem. I couldn't go out, because people were constantly on my back all the time. I just felt like

When Cher Lloyd swaggered on to the X Factor stage in 2010 with her dubious eyebrows and ripped denim her look didnt exactly scream fashionista. Two years later and the feisty singer has landed a modeling contract with agency Select. They'vepraised Chers unique look and personality, saying in a statement, Her strong individuality represents everything that we love about the youth today and their music. Like everyone, she is a melting pot of different emotions, from super confidence oozing fun to a vulnerability. Word vomit! Cher recently found herself at the centre of a mini-fued with her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole , after some misjudged comments about Cheryl singing live resulted in the Girls Aloud star hitting back via Twitter. Cher quickly realised the error of her ways and apologised via a TV interview. Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn't have said and it wasn't intended to sound as bad as it did, she said. I think it all got blown out of p

Having been mentored by Cheryl Cole during her time in the competition in 2010, the 'Swagger Jagger', claimed, in a recent radio interview, that she would only duet with Cheryl if she sung live, hinting that the star was dependent on auto tune. Confessing that she put her "foot in it", the star said: "I think I get too comfortable with just being myself. I forget that people are watching me. "I think I really did put my foot in it and

We were cringing behind our desks when outspoken popstress Cher Lloyd hit out at Cheryl Cole in a radio interview this week. However, after a not-so cryptical tweet from Cheryl made the singer look a little bit silly, she has since apologised for the dig.
