Cheryl Cole Who? Cher Lloyd Cosies Up To New Mentor LA Reid

Cher Lloyd has reunited with music big shot LA Reid sending a clear message to former mentor Cheryl Cole that she no longer needs her help.

The X Factor star was slammed by Cheryl earlier this week who said she had a lot to learn about the music industry but had clearly ignored the comments as she arrived in the US yesterday with a huge smile on her face.

The 18-year-old, who is signed to LA's Epic record label is working with the music mogul to launch new single Want U Back in the States and is hoping to have more success than the Geordie beauty did at cracking the American market.

The singer has yet to respond to Cheryl's attack and seemed excited at being reunited with LA who shared the judging panel with Cheryl during her brief appearance on X Factor USA last year.

She tweeted: So happy to be back in the US!! @LA_Reid."

Comments made earlier this week by the Girls Aloud singer clearly didnt mean much to the Swagger Jagger star as she cosies up to one of the biggest names in the business.

Cheryl blasted the teenager for comments made in March where she accused the Call My Name star of miming.

Shes new. She needs to learn a lot," she told GQ Magazine.

"I went through hell to get her on that programme. Everyone says stuff at the beginning of their career they will learn to regret.

Its disappointing because I fought for her. Maybe I didnt teach her as well as I thought I had. She added.

Her feisty attitude may have got her into trouble with Cheryl, but the singer reckons it was what attr! acted LA Reid to her in the first place.

He finds me quite funny. He said I am very outgoing and I say what I want and he likes that. She told The Sun in March.

He told me that Im really fresh and hes very excited. With the USA, Im not going to run before I can walk. Its quite a big thing to try and achieve but you never know whats going to happen.

After performing at the 'South by SouthWest' in Texas festival earlier this year, Cher is hoping to emulate British acts The Wanted and One Direction with US chart success.
