IS IT just us, or does she sound particularly American?

Cher Lloyd made her X Factor USA debut last night, taking to the stage to perform her US single, Oath.

And while she might be originally from Worcestershire, we can't help but think her accent seems to have changed dramatically since her X Factor days in the UK.

Sounding more like Avril Lavigne than the dulcet Malvern teen we're used to, Cher wowed the crowds with her performance, receiving a standing ovation.

The 19-year-old looked like a pro as she strutted her stuff in a tuxedo-print top, sparkling high-waist denim shorts, over-the-knee socks and black spiked biker boots.

Cher has become a HUGE hit in the US, receiving a double-platinum status after selling more than 2,000,000 copies of her debut single Want U Back.
