It may have been a while since Cher Lloyd participated on the X Factor but the star showed she still had the namesake when she took to the stage of the X Factor USA to perform.

As the remaining ten finalists awaited the result to see if they were safe, Cher, who shot to fame on the UK version in 2010, appeared to keep everyone's spirits up with her energetic performance of her song, 'Oath'.

Showing off her toned body in a sparkly corset style top and shorts, Cher looked every inch the popstar. Taking to her Twitter page ahead of her performance, the star wrote:

"About to hit the stage @TheXFactorUSA !!!xxx(:"

And it appears that Cher wasn't the only one excited about performing as judge L.A. Reid called her performance "sensational", whilst co-host Khloe Kardashian described Cher's routine "phenomenal".

However the audience and judges joy at watching Cher soon turned to sadness when it was announced that Britney Spears' acts Arin Ray and Beatrice Miller had been eliminated from the competition.
