The Voice coach promises commitment to new singers.

Will.i.am thinks that some X Factor stars should have been supported more by Simon Cowell.

The Black Eyed Peas singer told The Mirror: "I love Cher Lloyd - she should have been the biggest star in the world, she should have had the coolest freaking music.

"But they didnt treat her right. They juice the contestants to get people to watch TV. That is wrong. I cant do that, I am not going to be a part of that."

Cher Lloyd finished fourth in The X Factor 2010 behind One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle.

Since the 2010 series, Lloyd's debut single Swagger Jagger topped the UK charts and her debut album Stick and Stones peaked at number four.

The Voice makes it UK debut on the BBC this weekend, with expectations high after the show's hugely successful US version.

Jessie J, Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue sit alongside will.i.am on the coaching panel.

And Tom Jones said all the coaches are putting their reputations on the line on the new show. He told The Guardian: "You're making decisions so people at home are going to be saying 'What the', 'Why would he do that?', 'What's the matter, is he deaf?'.

"You can only hear it. You can't see it, you're not thrown by a performance. Because a lot of people see more than they hear, particularly with television."
