She's best known for her 'street' style attire and she's rarely seen out without a pair of trainers, hoodie and trendy jeans - but it was a very different Cher Lloyd that arrived for a pre-Grammys party last night.

In fact, the pop star was almost unrecognisable as she arrived at the bash looking all grown-up and very glamorous in a very daring sheer panel dress.

Cher, 19, had ditched the casual look and looked very sexy as she posed for the cameras at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy bash in Beverly Hills, California.

She flaunted her slender figure in the sheer dress which was decorated with a few sequins and a big ruffle detail down the centre, which barely spared her blushes.

And her long dark had been styled into a cascade of curls that were swept to one side and down her shoulder, complementing her old Hollywood-style make-up.

Some may have been surprised to see her there but she has proved to be a huge success across the Pond with sell-out gigs. Her single, 'Want U Back', which featured Snoop Dogg, went two times platinum in the US.

Having spoken many times about her desire to break into acting, Cher will make a guest appearance in an episode of the Nickelodeon TV show 'Big Time Rush', which follows the adventures of a newly-formed boy band.

Cher was one of many celebrity guests at the bash last night including Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding and Miley Cyrus.

The party took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where legendary singer Whitney Houston died last year just hours before the annual gala started.

Davis paid tribute to her and said his world continues "to be so shattered by her passing" and that her death still feels "unreal."
