Cher Lloyd has made her mark on the folk of America, entering the top ten on US iTunes.

The X Factor star's track Want U Back - her first single across the pond - is sitting pretty at No.7 on the digital chart, four weeks after its release.

The song has also climbed eight places from No.35 to 27 on the official Billboard Hot 100.

Speaking of her current Stateside success, Lloyd said: "I'm so excited by everything that is going on!

"I've been touring US radio stations for quite a while now, and it's been fantastic to get out and see so much of America. There's still lots of hard work to do though!"

The 18-year old, who took to the stage at the Wireless Festival over the weekend, has also confirmed her first US TV performance, where she will appear on Americas's Got Talent later this month.

Last month, a clip of Cher being mobbed at a radio station in Philadelphia emerged, with the Swagger Jagger hitmaker thanking fans for coming to see her.
