Cher Lloyd reaches No 5 on US iTunes chart with single Want U Back

Cher Lloyd's single Want U Back is proving to be a big hit in America.

The X Factor star - who was signed to Epic by music mogul LA Reid in December - released the track in May and it's already made the Top 10 on the US iTunes chart.

'this is crazy!!!! Want U Back is now number 5 on US iTunes!!! NUMBER FIVE!!!,' Cher Tweeted last night.

But despite her success, the 18-year-old singer knows that she's still got a long way to go if she wants to be a big star Stateside.

'I'm not going to run before I can walk,' Cher recently revealed on BBC Breakfast. 'It's quite a big thing to try and achieve.'
