There have been some great singles in 2011 but, as the old saying goes, there's no Adele without a Pitbull (or something).

Some artists, such as Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Black, have been given an extremely rough time of it by the media and by 'Dislike'-pressing YouTube viewers, but there has been a fair share of under-appreciated (or should that be over-appreciated?) stinkers as well. Need we mention Blue's Eurovision effort? Or the Jason Derulo single that sampled more singles in one swift effort than we ever thought possible?
