Cher Lloyd has sold 1,000,000 copies of her debut Stateside single 'Want U Back'.

The British pop star and X Factor contestant celebrated going platinum with an appearance on the Today Show yesterday (August 30) at New York's Rockefeller Plaza. Scroll down to watch her perform the million-selling single - which was released in May in the US - on the show.

Lloyd also launched her first celebrity perfume, Pink Diamond, today. A spokesman for the Fragrance Shop told The Daily Mail: 'It's one of our biggest celebrity launches to date. We have had to order in extra stocks today, as we were about to sell out. It has exceeded our expectations by over 500%!"

Earlier this month Cher Lloyd was booed offstage at V Festival and reportedly left the stage in tears after she was hit with bottles filled with urine.

The 'Swagger Jagger' singer was performing at Hylands Park, Chelmsford when she was struck by a bottle two songs into her set and left the stage. She later returned, however, and told the crowd: "It's hard enough being up here, but it's not nice having bottles of piss chucked at you."

Lloyd later took to Twitter to comment. "Thank you so much for all the nice messages, shame that a couple of people had to rui! n it," she wrote. "Unfortunately a glass bottle got thrown at me on stage. Tomorrow is another day, big love to my brats!!!"
